Power Supply Projects

To provide a rough overview about the complexity of the projects we will assign
a 1 to 10 open source transistors (the logo of www.openhardware.de):

Warning: Voltages above 42V should be considered as hazardous! Do not construct or repair equipment
that operates at voltages above 42V unless you REALLY know what you are doing, and you follow the safety
regulations given by your local authorities.

Power Supply projects are made from analog and digital stuff and also power components like transistors and diodes.

One project may me a very simple charge maintainer for lead acid car batterys: It will we useful to maintain the charge of car batterys that
are not in use for a while and hence discarging.

For this Project a small transformer which develops around 15 to 18V will be used together with a bridge rectifier one electrolytic capacitor and a (low drop) 3 terminal regilator and some diodes, and smaller capacitors and a fuse.

This Project would be rated with 1 transistor and will be completely aviable in a short while...
